In this webinar with Dr Sanah Hasan, we will explain the administration of drugs during pregnancy, understand how drugs are classified to guide the use in pregnant woman, be able to provide appropriate guidance on drug use during pregnancy. General concepts of medication safety and concerns of medication use at each stage of pregnancy will be discussed. FDA pregnancy classifications and the changes that were introduced to drug information and labeling that needed to be provided by pharmaceutical companies instead of the FDA pregnancy classification will be identified. Examples of medication use and their safety in treating various disease states in pregnancy will be covered.
